First Month Down...

January's done with, and my word, it felt long!! Almost a five week month I think. I had a decent amount of bookings considering I didn't think anyone would have any dosh left. I've been really chuffed to welcome back customers that I've had for so many years, a good 10-15 years back, and been such a humbling feeling that you guys still want to return after so long. A little daunting at the same time, as a lot of these I've almost watched 'grow up'; granted it sounds like I've been tattooing them since they were five years old, which of course isn't the case, but when we've been talking about the first tattoos that I did for them they were in their early twenties and now in their early thirties!!

This year I realise I've been tattooing for 21 years. Jeeeeeeeez...

I came into this new year feeling quite hopeful, and even after a dodgy start (some personal shit going on), I am still remaining hopeful...just about! I'm hoping this year I can chip away at the studio, get it to where I want to, nothing major, just cosmetic. Trouble is, I'm such a tangential weirdo, that when I make my mind up I sleep on it for a bit and then change my mind again. Annoying? Hell yes!

I have some plans for a wall, yes, one wall, which involves my amazing 3D printer; one of the best, if not THE best birthday present I have ever had, so I need to get busy with that. I have also possibly changed my mind about the colour scheme, so a paint job may be happening again. Honestly, if you're a hobbyist I certainly recommend a 3D printer, but be warned, it's seriously addictive and it's amazing how many styles of butt plugs people have designed and uploaded to print! Maybe I should have a shelf with various different butt plugs in the studio. It would at least be a talking point...I would just like to add I'm not searching for butt plugs...I promise!
